Dear families, precious to our Father in heaven, profoundly important to our nation’s future and the building block of our communities, we pray to God that your family is surviving these pandemic times.
As church leaders and educators, we all recognize that the family is the first community of faith and the most powerful influence on the faith of children and teenagers.
Today’s diversity in family forms and structures have stretched and stressed families making family time and shared activities, including the daily meal and religious activities scheduling challenges. Although the family must be a vital part of the process of lifelong faith, many parents may feel ill-prepared to assume their roles in fostering faith and sharing religious traditions with their children. With that in mind, we are excited to be introducing a family ministry initiative in our Parish.
We extend a special invitation to your family for a barbeque and fun family activities to start the year off on Sunday, September 27th at 3:30 pm in Mary’s Garden and play area by the Parish Centre (or in case of rain, in the Parish Centre). Hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream and drinks will be provided. Please bring lawn chairs or picnic blanket for your family, to help support social distancing. We will have more information to share at that time. We look forward to seeing you there!
To confirm your attendance, please call Cathy, at the office at 902-543-2184 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to call the office or contact Lydia Skoreyko, Family Ministry Co-ordinator, at 902-543-6839 or email email@example.com
Be sure to spread the word and encourage other families to come join the fun.
